The Loreto Bay National Park is one of the 68 nationally protected marine ecosystems; at the moment, it is the largest marine protected area of the Sea of Cortez, and no wonder, it has 206,581 hectares giving us, a great space to explore.
Thanks to this great extension, an abundant quantity of marine species have a refuge; blue whale, humpback whale, pilot whale, orcas, sperm whale, dolphins, sea lions, turtles, starfish.
Within the National Park you can observe 75% of all marine species registered in Mexican waters, and it is very accessible to have an aquatic experience here; from diving, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and whale watching.
This protected area also has five islands; Coronado, del Carmen, Danzante, Monserrat and Catalina (or Catalana) making some of the most enchanting natural landscapes of the state.
Hiking, camping, observation and photography are some of the activities that allow us to be in touch with the nature of these points. An extensive variety of micro-ecosystems and abundance of endemic flora and fauna make these islands and the entire National Park a World Heritage Site; a tourist destination you must live to believe.
